COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION
The first time meeting with a financial planner can be a bit daunting. We want you to be comfortable with the experience, so go ahead and explore the information below to get an idea of what to expect.
What to Expect - The Basics
-
We will introduce ourselves and our staff and acquaint you with our offices.
-
We will ask you a few questions about where you are now, and where you would like to be. These questions are designed to help you think most clearly about your financial situation and formulate goals. They may be different questions than you have heard before.
-
We will go through a little of what we do, our qualifications, how we can help, as well as the specifics of how and what we are paid.
-
From that point, we will jointly determine if there looks like there might be a fit with our firm. If so:
-
We will begin to gather information about your assets and some additional attitudes and opinions you may have towards risk.
-
We will give you a sheet that lists what we will need to cover in our next meeting
-
We will ask you to make another appointment
At our first meeting we aim to send you home with two things—1) information about who we are, and 2) a thought process that we believe will help you crystalize your thinking about what you want and what is possible.
Whether or not you move forward with our firm our motivation is to help you simplify your thoughts.
Afterwards, should you decide not to go on to this next step, or if it becomes obvious that we can’t help you, then we respectfully end it there.
