Dan has been in the financial planning business for over 40 years. Working through College in his father’s insurance business, he learned about developing and meeting client goals. Once he graduated Bentley University with a Bachelor’s in business administration, he knew he had that same entrepreneurial spirit that his Father had.
He joined a financial planning firm after college, and he immediately knew that is what he wanted. He decided to re-join his father and bring financial planning to the firm. Education is very important to him. He may not have all the answers, but he at least knows when to seek out those answers. He pursued multiple professional designations to bring full service financial planning to the firm. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional, a Chartered Life Underwriter®, a Charted Financial Consultant® and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® Designee he has the multi-disciplined approach to understanding how to help the firm’s clients through the many twists that life brings. He continues with this pursuit through continuing education and participation in industry conferences and studies.
Dan is motivated by helping make a positive difference in the client’s life. At first, to him, it is a puzzle with pieces scattered all about. After fully identifying the pieces, and putting them all face up, he can work one by one in combining them into a comprehensive plan. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Often, the most rewarding conclusion is when a client sees his own family’s future in a more optimistic way with a defined path.
Dan and his wife Maureen have 3 kids in great relationships on their own. They all spend time together skiing, spending time on the beach, enjoying a home cooked meal, or attempting the humiliation known as Golf. Dan also enjoys home projects when it involves something on the creative side.
"I've seen what happens when families throw logic out the window and act against their best interests.
My job is simple, create a real & personal connection so I can help in the worst of times by taking a blow, and contribute in the best by right-sizing enthusiasm while assuring our clients it's ok to move forward."
